FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Wausau, Wisc. – Granite Peak is getting into the spirit of giving this season with FREE lift tickets for skiers and snowboarders.
On December 25th, from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m., you can hit the slopes with friends and family for six hours of fun. “This is the first time we’ve offered everyone free tickets on a holiday weekend,” said Vicki Baumann, general manager of Granite Peak. “It’s our way of giving back to our community.”
The complimentary lift ticket, available at the ticket window, is valued at $40 and gives skiers access to high-speed lifts and beginner, intermediate and advanced runs. “With the recent snowfalls and ideal weather for snowmaking, we anticipate excellent skiing conditions for the Christmas holiday,” said Baumann.
Beginners and first-time skiers will be especially delighted with this opportunity to venture into downhill skiing or snowboarding. The rental shop located in the courtyard will be open to rent child and adult sized equipment including skis, boards, boot, poles and helmets. Ski lessons through Granite Peak’s Alpine Learning Center are also available on Christmas day and must be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance. Visit www.skigranitepeak.com for rental and lesson prices.
Warm up by the roaring fireplace in the historic chalet where the lounge and restaurant will be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. With ample snow, and more in the forecast for the holidays, Granite Peak is the place to celebrate and start a tradition of outdoor family fun on the slopes.
Extra holiday savings for students
Granite Peak is also giving college students a break this year with a BOGO package deal. By showing current college student identification cards at the ticket window, students will get two lift tickets for the price of one. The “2 for 1 College Special” runs Monday through Friday, December 12-23 and January 9-20.
